In order to set up a dashboard for a new client, a sales representative from BlueBoard will be in touch to collect essential product information such as ref. numbers, EAN/IAN (European/International Article Number), product names, pictures and SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit). This allows the technical team to begin the product search and matching process.
Listings are usually collected in Excel files. After receiving the information, the sales team has to work with the operations to normalize the listings, detect the issues and manually update any mistakes; this is vital as the entire matching and scraping process depends on these listings!
Once this is completed, the operations team can start looking for the products on all the e-commerce websites that BlueBoard monitors. This is the Search and Matching process.
